dated 13\/10\/2025<\/a>), we remind you that\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"\">installing software on company PCs without authorisation is prohibited<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"\"><span data-ogsc=\"\">Browser extensions\u00a0must also be authorized<\/span>, as they may introduce significant risks, including:<\/p>\n<ul data-ogsc=\"\">\n<li data-ogsc=\"\"><span data-ogsc=\"\">Malware<\/span>,\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"\">adware<\/span>\u00a0or malicious behaviour disguised as useful features<\/li>\n<li data-ogsc=\"\"><span data-ogsc=\"\">Unauthorised access to the browser<\/span>, browsing history, corporate web applications,\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"\">microphone<\/span>\u00a0or\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"\">webcam<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-ogsc=\"\"><span data-ogsc=\"\">Data and credential theft<\/span>\u00a0(e.g.\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"\">exfiltration of cookies and saved passwords from browsers<\/span>, keylogging, access to confidential content)<\/li>\n<li data-ogsc=\"\">Performance degradation or instability of the workstation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-ogsc=\"\">To request authorisation to install new software, please follow these\u00a0<a dir=\"auto\" title=\"https:\/\/engage.eng.it\/en\/internal-communications\/new-procedure-for-requesting-a-quotation-and-or-software-installation\" href=\"https:\/\/engage.eng.it\/en\/internal-communications\/new-procedure-for-requesting-a-quotation-and-or-software-installation\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"4\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(38, 139, 206)\">instructions published on Engage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"\">Extensions and other software installed without authorisation may be removed without prior notice.<\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"\"><span data-ogsc=\"\">We reiterate the absolute urgency<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"\">deleting<\/span>\u00a0work passwords saved in\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"\">browsers<\/span>\u00a0or stored in plain text (e.g.\u00a0<span data-ogsc=\"\">in text\/Excel files<\/span>) and transferring them to\u00a0<a dir=\"auto\" title=\"https:\/\/engage.eng.it\/en\/internal-communications\/check-out-the-official-eng-group-password-manager\" href=\"https:\/\/engage.eng.it\/en\/internal-communications\/check-out-the-official-eng-group-password-manager\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"5\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(38, 139, 206)\">Eng
